William Christopher Nother

With heavy hearts we sadly announce the passing of William Christopher Nother, age 91. He passed peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on September 22, 2025.

William was married to Mary Phelan for 68 years and raised a family of 5 children; Brian, Bill, Brendan (Lisa), Cathy (John) and Audrey.                  

He was the grandfather of Ryan, Neil, Patrick, Joel, Scott, Olivia, Amanda, Mark, Dylan and Jasper. Great-grandfather of 5.

He was also the eldest of 16 siblings whom were all born in Ireland; James, Ann Hider, John, Beatrice Szczokin, Peggy Kantelberg, Anthony, Jacqueline Wall, Terry, Albert, Joan Kirk, Frances Grech, Marie Szewchuk, Colette Cauchi, Walter and Christopher. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. He will also be missed by his cousins, the Kelly’s in Ireland, who were very dear to his heart.

William had a zest for life and loved his sports. He enjoyed walking, swimming, euchre and especially golf. But his greatest joy was raising his family, of whom he was very proud.

Visitors will be received in St. Michael’s Church, 511 Cheapside Street at Maitland Street, London, on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Following the visitation, the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Church at 11:00 a.m.

Private family interment and Committal Service in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London
