Wilfred Edward Linder

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father and Papa, Wilfred Edward Linder at Victoria Hospital, London, on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen Ann “Kay” Linder (2003). Dearly loved father of Maureen of London, John of Toronto and Jayne Simmons (Mike) of London. Proud and cherished Papa of Ryan Simmons (Laura) of London and Rebecca Simmons of Florida. Wilf proudly served five years in the RCAF WWII and joined the London Police force as a PC for nine years. In 1955 he was employed as a field representative for TSA and for the next nineteen years he was employed as a personnel and labour relations manager for Husband Transport and CN Route. Wilf also served as a Director of the Motor Transport Industrial Relations Bureau of Ontario and Quebec and was honoured to be annually elected as a Trustee of The Quebec Pension Plan for Quebec trucking employees. A private family Funeral Service has been conducted in the Chapel of the O’Neil Funeral Home, London, with entombment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
