1926 — January 1, 2018

At University Hospital, London, after a long illness, Tatiana passed away on June 29, 2018, in her 92nd year. She was predeceased by her husband, Michal, after 47 years of marriage, by her parents Pavlo and Fedosiya Bahanetz and her siblings. Tatiana was the devoted and loving mother of Irene McLellan (Ian), Aleck Harasym (Mary), Rose Harasym (Doug Hull) and Michael Harasym (Milena) and the proud and cherished grandmother of Stefan, Alexander, Gregory, Katherine, Amanda, Matthew, Sarah (Xin Hang) and Noelle. She was also the great-aunt of Victor Voznyuk (Julia). Tatiana was born April 21, 1926 in the farming community of Horosheno in eastern Ukraine, the youngest of seven children. During World War ll She was taken from her home at the age of fifteen to Germany where she was forced to work in factories and farms and digging trenches. After the war, she ended up in a Ukrainian Displaced Persons camp in Dusseldorf where she met her future husband, Michal. Here their first daughter, Irene, was born, but the living conditions were very difficult so Michal left for Canada to support his family as a tailor. Tatiana and baby Irene soon followed and London became their family home where Aleck, Rose and Michael arrived to complete their family. Michal, with Tatiana's help, built and sold two family homes after which Michal decided to make home building his career. Tatiana dedicated her time to being a mother to her children and a frequent support to Michal in the family business. As they prospered, Tatiana and her husband enjoyed winters at their vacation home in Warm Mineral Springs, Florida, until Michal's passing in 1993. Tatiana continued to enjoy her winter home as long as her health permitted. Tatiana and Michal were very proud of their Ukrainian heritage and helped build and support Ukrainian churches in both London and Florida. Tatiana's family, her eight grandchildren and grand-nephew, her friends and her home, were her greatest joys.
