Sister Patricia Lagan entered eternal life in the peace of the Lord at the Precious Blood Monastery on June 5th, 2024. She was in her 92nd year of life and her 70th year of her religious Profession of Vows. She is predeceased by her parents, Charles Lagan and Annie Kerr and her siblings John, Michael, Father Charles and James. She will be dearly missed by her faithful sisters, Ann and Mary, as well as her nieces and nephews. She was born in Scotland on December 17, 1932. She entered the Monastery of the Sisters of the Precious Blood on August 15, 1952.
Sister Patricia was a Superior in various of our Monasteries. Among other responsibilities, she loved her work in the Altar Bread Department. Sister was always a very pleasant person, full of fun and loved to tease. Four years ago, because of illness, all that changed. Father Dave Wilhelm gave her the last rites of the Church an hour or so before she died, and at 7:55 a.m. she surrendered her life to God in the presence of her niece Maureen and our head nurse Guylaine.
Visitation and vigil prayers will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Monastery of the Sisters of the Precious Blood, 154 Northcliffe Avenue, Dundas, ON, L9H 7L9. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the monastery, with Father David Wilhelm presiding. Immediately following the Mass, interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington, ON.
