Sister Doris Cordellia Côté R.P.B. entered Eternal Life in the peace of the Lord and the hope of Resurrection at the Hamilton Precious Blood Monastery on July 15, 2025, in the 97th year of her life and the 76th year of her religious profession of Vows. She is predeceased by her parents, Wallace Côté and Mother Vernette Besse, and her Sister Thelma Rainville.
She will be greatly missed by Russel Côté, Marie Leroux, Gloria Vanduzee and Ray Côté.Born in Howie, AB, on July 16, 1928, Sister Doris entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Precious Blood on December 8, 1947. She made her First Profession in Edmonton, Alberta on November 22, 1949. She had a great love for the Eucharist and spent many hours before the blessed Sacrament. In the evenings she relaxed by playing solitaire, Her quiet presence was a blessing to our Hamilton Community, who witnessed her peaceful surrender in union with Christ. In the last hour of her life, the community was present for her peaceful death.
Visitation will be held at the Monastery of the Sisters of the Precious Blood, 154 Northcliffe Avenue, Dundas, ON, L9H 7L9, on Friday, July18, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Father David Wilhelm presiding and Father Luis Ignacio. Immediately following the Mass, interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington, ON. Online condolences & Guest Book at www.oneilfuneralhome.ca
