It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father, Salvatore Mastrolacasa. Peacefully in his sleep on Monday, November 24th, 2025 in his 91st year at Chelsey Park long term care home. Beloved husband of the late Carmelina Mastrolacasa (2021). He leaves behind the joys of his life!! His children, Josephine (John) Peter (Sandi), Tony (Shelby) and Rita. Nonno to Anna, Mark Shaun, Nick, Ashton, Jazmyn and Bisnonno to Jordan, Levi, Haven, Nolan, Arthur.
Born to Pietro and Carmela Mastrolacasa in San Bartolomeo in Galdo on January 20th, 1935. Brother of Carmela Palumbo (Pasquale), Michele Mastrolacasa (survived by his wife Maria) and Vittorio Mastrolacasa (Anna).Loved his family, nephews and nieces: Vince (Delores), Rose (Beverly), Carmelina (Blake), Lidia, Peter (Jessica), Angelo, Massimo and Federico.Dad had great talent in wine making and prosciutto curing. He loved to play the accordion and recorder whenever he found time from his amazing garden spent many hours taking care and making sure the rabbits didn’t eat his veggies.He was an avid hunter till his hearing failed him, he said can’t hear anymore “the rappits”, so he hung his gun. Dad worked at GMD plant, where he made many friends. He was proud of his work, had the best job!! He used to say, making the frames for locomotive was the most important job to complete a machine.We would like to thank the staff at Chelsey Park, Doctor Marbin was very good with dad, in particular Chuck, who he named dad “Godfather” THANK YOU again for your services.Visitors will be received on Thursday, November 27, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London, followed by Entombment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.Online condolences & Guest Book at www.oneilfuneralhome.ca
