Ronald Garfat

It is with profound sadness the family of Dr. Ronald “Ron” Garfat announce his passing at his home, surrounded by his loved ones, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 in his 83rd year.

Ron leaves behind his beloved wife of 61 years, Tory Garfat, whom he met while a student at the University of Western Ontario. He was a much loved father to Kari Garfat, Marni Garfat and Judd Garfat. Ron will be also missed by his brothers Gary Garfat and John “Jack” Garfat. Predeceased by his parents Mona and Fred Garfat.

Dr. Ron Garfat practiced Family Medicine in London, Ontario for over 45 years, starting in 1969 before retiring in 2014.

The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Team and Nurse Carrie for their compassionate care that they gave to Ron.

Donations to a charity of your choice in Ron’s name would be appreciated. 

As per his request cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
