Robert George Watson

1929 — January 1, 2020

Peacefully, at Victoria Hospital, London on Friday, March 13, 2020, Robert George Watson in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Aileen Watson (2013). Bob was predeceased by his brother Thomas James Watson (late Edith). Dear uncle of Nancy Jean Stacey (late Gerald), Jim Watson (Beth) and Susan Sangster (Michael). Also survived by many more nieces and nephews. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Due to the current restrictions on larger social gatherings, a gathering for Bob at a later date is planned. Robert, known by friends and family as "Bob", was lucky in love, friendships and a full long life. "Keep it simple, cultivate friendships, laughter and love." Much gratitude to Dr. Marina and her medical team at LHSC for the first class treatment you provided. Bob was very happy living within the Longworth community, deepest thanks and appreciation to the staff there. A huge "shout out" to Bill and Cindy at the Dawg House. The laughter and friendships that developed there over the years kept Bob young. Randy Stewart, the years of friendship that you and Bob shared at work, on the golf course and enjoying a beer or two meant the world to Bob. Your support over the past several years has been priceless! In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Heart and Stroke Foundation, London Down Syndrome Association, London Health Sciences Centre or to a charity of your choice.
