Peacefully, at Victoria Hospital London, on Thursday, November 13, 2014, Raimondo Di Loreto in his 87th year. Raimondo is finally reunited with the love of his life, Lucia (nee: Caldarozzi 2011). Dearly loved father of Vilia and Alfredo Zoccano & Robert and Maria Di Loreto. Cherished Tatono of Nick and Debbie Zoccano and their daughters Chiara and Serena; Lea and Chris Furtado and their daughters Angela and Jessica; Victoria Di Loreto and Raimond Di Loreto. Dear brother of Vilma and Franco Troiano; Delfina and Rino D'Alessandro and Lia Rattazzi. Brother-in-law of Elisabeth Di Loreto, Rocco and Vittoria Caldarozzi and Aldo and Vittoria Caldarozzi (Milan, Italy). Also survived by many nieces and nephews and lovingly remembered by his in-laws Mike and Maria Hrib and his little buddy "Bentley". Predeceased by his parents Guglielmo and Vilia Di Loreto, sister Elsa Debellis and her husband Ottavio, brother Giuseppe Di Loreto, brother Enrico Di Loreto and his wife Irma, and brother-in-law Gino Rattazzi. Raimondo was born in Pratola Peligna (Aquila), Abruzzi, Italy, on August 2nd, 1928. He was a grower of fine organic tomatoes, a crafter of home made wine and tasty prosciuttos, and regalier of family stories of days gone by. Visitation will take place in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London, Ontario, on Sunday, November 16, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and on Monday November 17, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m & 7:00 -9:00 p.m. with prayers at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, (345 Lyle St. at York, London) on Tuesday, November 18th at 11:00 am followed by entombment in St. Peters Cemetery, 806 Victoria St. London. Raimondo's family extend their heartfelt gratitude to the following people for their outstanding care & compassion given to our Dad throughout his battle with cancer: Dr. Palma, Dr. Sanatani, all the nursing staff on the 7th floor C-Block, CCAC and "Senior Home Care by Angels". In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
