Pasquale Vercillo

Heaven gained a new angel with the passing of Pasquale Vercillo, who entered eternal rest in his 81st year. Pasquale passed peacefully at University Hospital, surrounded by love, with his devoted nephew Tom Lepore and his cherished great-nieces Alyssa and Sabrina Lodder by his side. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.

Predeceased bu his parents Francesco and Palmina Vercillo, his sister's Vanda and Maria Vercillo and his sister and brother in law Silvia and Antonio Lepore. Pasquale was also predeceased by his dear niece Antonella Lodder.

Pasquale Vercillo lived a long life shaped by strong opinions and the quiet certainty that everyone else was doing it wrong. He was difficult, devoted, and impossible to ignore.He immigrated from Grimaldi, Italy, to Canada in search of a better life, leaving behind his hometown and starting over in a new country. Through years of hard work, he built a life for himself and spent most of his working years at Ford retiring in 2006.

He taught us many things — mostly how not to argue with him. Sunday dinners won’t be the same without his place at the table, and the weekly phone calls will be missed just as much. He often spoke about something “somebody once told me,” though who that somebody is, remains a mystery. He was loved dearly, and he returned that love in his own unmistakable way.

A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, January 6th at 12:00 p.m. at the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. London, ON. There will be visiting from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service. Followed by burial at St. Peter's Cemetery, 806 Victoria St. London, ON.
