Michael Fediw

Peacefully surrounded by his family at Victoria Hospital, London, on Thursday, February 18, 2016 Mychajlo (Michael) Fediw in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Audrey Fediw (1998). Dear father of Michael (Susan), Andrew (Caroline), Antony (Jordana) and Stefan (Jessica). Loving grandfather of Julia (Roman), Amanda, Nicholas, Michael, Alexander, Ryann and Maxym and his great grandchild Michael. Predeceased by his entire family in Ukraine. Michael witnessed many of the tragic events in Ukraine that would beset the region over the next twenty years. Always living life to the fullest and on his own terms, Michael spent the last twenty-five years of his life as a tireless volunteer. Whether it was driving the elderly to appointments, visiting the sick, helping newcomers to Canada or supporting "His Orphanages", he always stood up to help those in need. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and staff at Victoria Hospital that cared for him. The support and assistance provided by his many friends is also greatly appreciated. The mischievous twinkle in his eye shone bright whenever they visited. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Monday, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church, 707 Nelson Street on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
