Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Marie Cassilda Mills, on May 29, 2024 at The Manor Village Retirement Home, London ON, in her 94th year.

Beloved wife of the late Bernie Mills (2021). Proud mother of Patricia Jahans (Paul), Francine Jones (Brian), Colleen Lamont (Dale), Peter Mills (Rose) and Larry Mills.
Cherished grandmother of Jessica Smith (Andrew), Katelyn Jones, Matthew Mills (Mairi), Ashley Jahans, Angela Patchet (Adam) and Kayla Jahans. Loving great-grandmother of Sophia Anne Patchet.
Survived by siblings Georgette Dorion, Louis Berthelot and Larry Berthelot. Recently predeceased by brother Rod Berthelot (2024) and sister-in-law Jackie Berthelot (2023).

Mom was born in Cross Pointe, Quebec and trained to become a registered nurse. In 1953 she boarded a train with her lifelong friend Toni Hanas, and some other nurses and came to London Ontario to find work in her profession.
She met our Dad at a hospital social function and they were married in 1957. After raising their family, they both retired and moved to Goderich in 1991. In 2019 they returned to London and resided at The Manor Village Retirement Home.

A sincere thanks to the staff at The Manor Village Retirement Home for their compassion and care for Mom. Also special thanks to LHSC, University Hospital Emergency Department and 4th floor Internal Medicine for their compassion and care for mom.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Andrew the Apostle Church,1 Fallons Lane at Huron, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
