Maria Branca Dos Santos Pais

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Maria Branca dos Santos Pais, in her 77th year. She passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London, Ontario on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Maria was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Antonio for over 55 years. She was a selfless and cherished mother to her sons: Luis (Maria), Anthony (Heather), and Pedro (Rachel Plaine). Maria’s heart was fullest when surrounded by her family, and she found immense joy in being a grandmother to her adored grandchildren: Erica, Emma, Jack, Tyler, Jaxxon and Cameron.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Armindo and Maria, her brother Manuel (Ester) and her sister Ida. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Jose, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Maria had a big heart, was a gentle soul, and had unconditional love for her family and loved ones. Her kindness, generosity and warmth will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A heartfelt thank you to the Respiratory Department at Victoria Hospital, LHSC, for their care and compassion. A private family service will be held to honor Maria’s life at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will take place at St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
