Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on July 24, Elly Maria Geurten, in her 90th year, predeceased by her husband Peter (1996). Loving mother of Paul (Theresa) of London, Glenn (Sandra) of Georgetown and Ralph (Kim) of London. Survived by her sister Ann Kleinhesselink and brother Hub (Coby) of the Netherlands. Sisters-in-law Mia Borghans of West Seneca, NY and Rinny Geurten-Smeets of the Netherlands. Grandchildren Catherine (Dave), Matthew, Jordan (Cassandra) , Sarah, Nicholas (Halle), Joshua (Wendy) and Julia and great grandson Jude. Daughter in law Kelly Geurten. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Giel, George and Fred, brother in laws Peter Borghans, Hank Kleinhesselink, Harry Geurten and John Geurten. Elly worked for many years at the Highland Golf and Country Club. She enjoyed traveling home to the Netherlands and throughout Europe. She found great joy spending time with her grandchildren and attending all their sporting events.
Visitors will be received at St. John the Divine Parish, 390 Baseline Road West, London, Ontario at 12pm Wednesday, July 26th, following by a Funeral Mass of Christian burial at 1 pm. Followed by a reception in the Parish hall.
