It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother and friend Marcella (Sally) Baker on March 5, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Baker (1979). Dear mother of Rita Baker, Edward Baker (Denise), Patrick Baker Carol), Angela Vinet (Dan), Mary Francis Baker-Schubert (Marcel), Regina Thomas (David) and Marie Janssen (Paul). Loving grandmother of Alek, Shaun, Alex, Megan, Ryan, Brooke Strauss, Carly Altomonte, Adam, Amanda, Colin, Dylan, Emily, Owen, Angus and Abbey. Great-grandmother of Evangeline, Vincent and Sophie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Vincent Farrell (Queenie), Mary Farrell (Jim O'Reilly), Eileen Farrell, Daniel Farrell, Rita Farrell (Mike Simons), Jean Farrell (Ted Turkington) and Gerald Farrell. Marcella was born February 11, 1928 and was the youngest daughter of Angus and Priscilla Farrell of Stirling, ON. Sally graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Peterborough in 1951. She had a short career at St. Joseph's Hospital in London and then met the love of her life Jack Baker. She always said she found a better career raising her seven children. She was a wonderful example of strength, grace, kindness and truth. These gifts and her love she shared with everyone she met. She lived & loved through her faith, reflected in her last words to her family I'm fine. We will miss you but your memory will live on each time we hear an irish tune or smell an apple pie.
