Manuel Pereira

Peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, March 2, 2026, Manual Pereira entered into eternal rest at the age of 90.

Manuel will be dearly missed by his children Ana Costa (Jose), Manuel Pereira (Paula Rego), Lurdes Pereira, Jorge Pereira (Paula Goncalves), Luisa Nunes (Luis) and Maria Garcia (Corey). Predeceased by his son Jose Medeiros Pereira.

Manuel was a loving and doting father, grandfather and great-grandfather who worked hard to support his family. He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic and the kindness to all he came across.

Manuel was born in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal on December 3, 1935. He loved to deep sea dive for lapas (limpets), work in his garden and watch his Brazilian T.V.

Manuel’s family would like to thank his friends and extended family for spending time with him over the years. The family also wants to thank the Palliative Care nurses and staff at Parkwood Institute for their support and care of Manuel in his last days.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Catholic Church,(10 Elm st. at Hamilton Rd., on Monday, March 9th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.Private family interment in Portugal at a later date.
