Manuel Amaral

It is with deep love and sadness at St. Thomas Elgin General hospital, that Manuel Amaral at age 89 has joined his beloved son Afonso (2007) in eternal life, peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Manuel leaves behind his much loved wife of 56 years, Leocadia, his daughters Nancy (Robert) Bento and Christine (Ricardo) Santos, and loving grandchildren Eric, Tiana, Lucas, and Alex.Manuel will be dearly missed by his siblings, Godchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends near and far.

We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for their compassion and excellent care of Manuel. In addition, the family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the relatives, caregivers who offered comfort, and all of whom supported Manuel in his final hours. Your kindness and presence brought peace to him and to all of us.

Visitors will be received on Friday, 29 August, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London.Mary Immaculate Church,1980 Trafalgar Street, London, on Saturday, 30 August at10:00 a.m. followed by entombment in St. Peter’s Cemetery
