Leo Lamoureux

It is with profound sadness we want to announce the passing of my loving husband and our father Leo Francis Lamoureux of Strathroy, Ontario at the age of 82 on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Leo was surrounded by his family during his last days.

Leo is survived by his loving wife Gwen of 60 years. His children Michael, Paul (Terri), Jennifer (Jeff), Alan (Tammy). His Grand Children Derek (Sarah), Jessica (Daniel), Jordyn, Brandon (Jayden), Ethan (Keely), Kyle, Zachary, Alyssa, Kianna, and Christian. Great Grand Children Isla, Sutton, and Levi. As well as many Nieces, Nephews, cousins and close friends. 

Pre-deceased by his parents Edouard Lamoureux, Kathleen Paquette, and his brother Andre (Marie). 

Leo was a pattern maker by trade, started at an early age of 18 in LaSalle, QC as an apprentice. He worked for 32 years and retired from General Motors.

Leo enjoyed fishing, model trains, boats and gardening. He was a collector of coins and pins.His favourite sports were hockey, golf, bowling, curling and darts. Leo was an avid photographer and especially enjoyed taking pictures of his family over the years.

Leo was a long time 4th degree Knights of Columbus at St. Justin’s Parish.

The family will be having a private memorial at St. Peter’s Mausoleum, London, ON. A celebration of Life will be at the end of July.

We would like to graciously thank all Leo’s Doctor’s and Nurses at Strathroy General Hospital, all the Personal Support Worker’s from Assisted Living in Strathroy, and the Intensive Personal Support Service in London for their tender loving care, and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to The Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer's Society, or a charity of your choice.
