Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at University Hospital, London, on Thursday, February 20th, 2014, Leo Joseph in his 90th year. Survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Betty (nee: Loughlin). Cherished father of Bruce (Mary), Jay, Mary Swartz and Karen Leslie. Loved stepfather of Sylvia (Richard) Taylor and Leonard (Jackie) O'Hara. Loving grandfather of 11, great-grandfather of 16 and uncle and great-uncle to many. Brother of Roland, Wilfred, Adolph, James, Clarence and Sr. Marcelline C.S.J. Predeceased in 1962 by his 1st wife Hilda (nee: Laliberte), his stepson David O'Hara (1984), his grandson Dustin O'Hara (2007) his brothers Amedee, Lawrence and Norbert and his sisters Harriet, Loretta and Rita. Leo was a member of the Highland Light Infantry and served in the Canadian Army during WW II. He was an active member of the Dormer General Assembly, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London, on Sunday from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Peter Basilica, 196 Dufferin Ave., London, on Monday, February 24 at 1:30 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum in Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Windsor, on Tuesday, February 25, where a Committal Service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospitality Centre, 485 Windermere Rd. P.O. Box 487, London, ON. N6A 4X3. Leo's family expresses their appreciation to the 6th and 8th floor staff of University Hospital, London.
