Laurette Mae Castelyns

Peacefully, at University Hospital, London, on Saturday, September 29, 2018, Lauretta Mae Castelyns in her 83rd year. Beloved wife and soul mate of the late Nicolas "Nick" Castelyns (August, 2018). Dear mother of Robyn Wood. Survived by her grandchildren Katie Chapman, Robin Archer, Jamie Wood and Bridgette Smith; thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother, granddaughter, parents and her son Jim Archer. Lauretta was a great lover of nature, a nurturer and care giver who achieved many awards for her accomplishments and endeavours. She was a room mother, Girl Scout leader, seamstress, artist, craftsman, MYF leader, teacher, a deaconess of the Anglican Church, and a proprietress at St. Joseph's Retreat. During Lauretta's life she traveled to 29 countries, something she was very proud of. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service which will be conducted in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Quenton Little officiating, followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
