Karen in her 77th year passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice after a long battle with cancer on July 30, 2025 with her family by her side.
She grew up in Union Ontario with her grandparents.
She loved skating and fishing on the pond behind the house and going to Mackies for Orangeade and perch with her grandfather.
She had an amazing artistic talent, and was a huge Toronto Blue Jays fan and used to go to games at Exhibition Stadium with sons Chris and Adrien. Karen always had a smile on her face that could light up a room, and could always make someone laugh.
She will be dearly missed by husband Ed of 58 years, son Adrien and his wife Veronica, daughter Dawn all of London, her beloved cousin Nancy of Windsor, brother Kurt of London, and families in Port Colborne Ontario, and New Brunswick, as well as grand puppies Mia and Sadie. She is predeceased by her father Leslie, mother Betty, many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as sons Chris and Andy.
Karen’s family would like to thank everyone at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their kindness, and compassionate care during her final days, so we were able to focus on her. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. George Parish in Byron, and The Jays Care Foundation would greatly be appreciated.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Service.
