Joseph Galea

Joe passed peacefully, with family by his side, at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the age of 91.

 Joe will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, generous spirit and unwavering devotion to his family.

 He was a master mechanic capable of fixing anything and always offered to help family, friends and neighbours with anything they needed. 

Joe was born in Paola, Malta and immigrated to London, Ontario on his own at the age of 17. 

Predeceased by his wife Elsie (2024). 

Loving father of Peter (Ann) Galea, John (Julie) Galea, Marie (Peter) Shears and Joe (Cheryl) Galea. 

Much loved Granda/Papa of Laura, Alex (Lana), Emilee, Brian, Lukas and Liam. 

Great-Granda of Drew. 

Dearest brother of Doris, Manuel, Tony, Peter and Tessie (predeceased by his brother Charlie and sister Frances). Joe (also known as Zuzu) is lovingly remembered by many relatives and dear friends in Canada, Australia and Malta.

Visitors will be received on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in Mary Immaculate Church, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Mary Immaculate Church on Wednesday, May 27, at 11:00 a.m. 

Private family interment at a later date.
