At home, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, Jose Maria Gomes in his 65th year.
Beloved husband of Vanda Soares and dear father of Joseph Soares. Brother of Fernando Melo and Fatima Demelo, all of London. Brother-in-law of Alda Macedo and Lourdes Macedo. Jose will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members in London, surrounding area and overseas. Predeceased by his brothers Emmanuel, John, Aires and Ildeberto.
Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Mary Immaculate Church (1980 Trafalgar at Admiral) on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Friday at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
