Jose Anibal castanheira Pereira

It is with heavy hearts that the Pereira family wishes to announce the passing of Jose "Joe" Anibal Castanheira Pereira in his 87th year of August 16, 2020. Beloved husband of 60 years of his wife Ilda. Loving father of Isabel (Tony) Resendes of London and David (Elizabeth) Pereira of Leamington. Proud grandfather of Christine (Derek) Krickhan, Michelle (Michael) Pereira, Marc Resendes, Matteo Pereira, and great-grandfather of Neve Pereira. Jose was born in the tiny village in northern Portugal. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 with the desire to build a better life for himself and his family. He was a founding member of the Portuguese Club of London and proud owner of JP Acoustic and Drywall Ltd. Jose was also helpful in guiding many other families and friends to immigrate to a new life in Canada. We are forever indebted to our wonderful father for his legacy of hard work and many life lessons that influenced and positively impacted our family. He strongly believed in integrity, respect, courage, education and never, ever giving up. We are humbled and grateful that he was a part of our family. He was "just perfect". Thank you to Westmount Gardens Long Term Care for their care and concern of our dear father.
