Peacefully, with his family by his side, at Victoria Hospital, London, on Thursday, August 25, 2022, Jose Afonso Melo in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Juvenalia Melo. Loving father of Jose Luis, Joao (Fernanda), Ricardo (Lucy), Helena Almeida (Eric) and Ashley. Loving grandfather of 11 and great- grandfather of 2. Dear brother of Maria Leonore, Ernesto (Virginia), Joao (Melania), Lionel (Gorete), Maria Conceicao (Surge) and Miguel (Ines). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his grandson Jordan.
Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Justin Church, 855 Jalna Blvd. at Ernest, on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
