Jose Furtado Amaral

Peacefully with family by his side, Jose Amaral, passed on to eternal life at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 80 years.

 Jose will be deeply missed by his wife Margarida Amaral of 53 years and his daughters, Nelia Amaral, Patricia Amaral and Claudia Amaral.
Brother to Manuel Amaral (Maria), the late Jaime Amaral (Maria Fatima), Alfredo Amaral (Leonore) and Antonio Amaral (Maria Jose), and Godfather and uncle to many Godchildren, nieces and nephews in Canada, Azores, and USA.

He will be remembered for his caring heart, humble spirit, deep love for his family and the joy he found tending to his garden.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London and on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in Mary Immaculate Church, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London.   Prayers in the Funeral Home on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Mary Immaculate Church on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.

Memorial donations in Jose’s memory may be made to a Charity of your choice.
