Joao Augusto Morais

Peacefully, with his family by his side, at his residence, on Monday, November 25, 2019, Joao Morais in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Irene (De Almeida) Morais for 56 years. Dear father of Manuel "Manny" Morais (Carmen), George Morais, Isabel Miranda (Eric), Teresa Morais (Dave) and John II Morais (Lesley). Loving grandfather of Cassandra, Michael, Alexandria, Brittney, Jordan, Philip, Ella, Johnny III and great-grandfather of Jacinta. Cherished brother of Manuel Antonio Francisco Morais, Deolinda De Jesus Oliveira and Father Benjamin De Jesus Morais of Portugal. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Portugal and Canada. Joao was a very active member of Holy Cross Parish, as a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was exceptionally proud to serve as a Eucharistic Minister. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church,10 Elm St. at Hamilton Rd. on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., followed by entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holy Cross Parish or St. Vincent de Paul.
