Joao Fernandes Raposo Medeiros

Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Victoria Hospital London ON on Thursday August 11, 2026, our beloved João left us and entered into eternal rest at the age of 74.

João will be deeply missed by his wife Julia of 51 years. 

He was a much-loved brother, uncle, godfather and friend.

He will be missed by his sisters Madalena Teixeira (Joseph) and Conceição Fernandes, his sisters in law Maria da luz Raposo and Ilda Teixeira (Daniel).

João will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews, godchildren, friends and extended family. 

He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother Antonio Raposo (2017).

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Victoria Hospital along with a very special thank you to his nurses Subin and Angelica and PSW Monica.

Visitors will be received on Friday, August 14th, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London

.The Funeral Service will be celebrated in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. London, on Saturday, August 15th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. 

There will be visiting from 9:00 a.m until the time of the service. 

Immediately following the service the entombent will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery, London, ON.
