Joao Antonio Ferreira

It is with great sadness that the family of Joao Ferreira announces his sudden passing on May 5, 2025. Beloved husband of Maria Ferreira, with whom he shared nearly 50 wonderful years of marriage since 1975. Loving father to Alipio Ferreira and Carlos Ferreira, and father-in-law to Lisa Ferreira. Proud Avo to his adored grandchildren, Aiden and Vyolet Ferreira. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters Fernanda (Anselmo), Fatima (Jens), Arlette (Fernando-deceased), Adelia (Nelson-deceased), Cidalia (Rui), Lurdes (Americo), and will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends and all whose lives he touched.

Joao was known for his unwavering work ethic and quiet strength. A devoted family man, he was always willing to lend a hand to friends, neighbours and loved ones. Joao leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity and dedication that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. 

Visitors will be received on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. There will be no visitation on Tuesday morning at the Funeral Home, everyone is asked to go directly to the church.

 The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church, 10 Elm Street at Hamilton Road, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
