Joao de Deus Amaral

AMARAL, Joao "John"- born in Ribeirinha Sao Miguel Azores. Joao passed in his 77th year in his home on May 3rd, 2025 in London Ontario. Beloved husband for 32 years of the late Isaltina Amaral . Dedicated partner to Maria Lopes for the past 17 years. Loving father of Paulo Amaral(Aisha), Jose Amaral (Amiee). Brother to the late Jose and Emanuel. Son of Jorgina Amaral and the late Jose Amaral . Survived by siblings Helena , Carlos, Jorge and Eddy. Loving Vavu to many birth and bonus grandchildren. Also survived by several bonus children , brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Joao was a dedicated Man in faith. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church and contributed to the festivals. In addition, he was a member of Knights of Columbus and Crown of St. John . He valued his volunteer position at the Portuguese Club of London, and was known as Tio Joao in the Construction Community. Many thanks to St. Ellizabeth Palliative Care team. The love and support of Maria Lopes and family over the years was much appreciated. Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church, 10 Elm St. at Hamilton Rd., on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
