Janina Magier

Peacefully, with her daughter Ela by her side, at the Dearness Home, London, on Friday, January 1, 2021, Janina Magier in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Jozef (2017) for 67 years. Dear mother of Zbigniew Magier (Ula), the late (Halina) (2009), Vicky Fontana (2018) (Joseph), Joseph Magier (2000), (Donna) and Elizabeth Chelchowski (Ted). Loving grandmother of Kristopher, Derek, Ursula, Michael, Jennifer, Natalia, Robert, Paulina, Daniel, Monika, Nikki and Andrea. Great-grandmother of Ania, David, Olivia, Dominica, Halina, Daniel, Matthew, Nikolas, Dominik, Amelia, Ophelia, Maximilian and Margeaux. Predeceased by her parents Jan and Julia Murdzek. Janina worked as a caretaker at Victoria Hospital for over 30 years and was heavily involved in the Polish community during her stay in Canada since 1964. Special thanks to all of the staff at the Dearness Home who have cared for her over the past 5 years. Due to Covid restrictions a private family Funeral Service was conducted in the Chapel officiated by Rev. Adam Gabriel followed by private Interment Services in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Janina's family request that, in lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church for prayers in her name would be appreciated.
