Irena Hondzel

Irena Hondzel passed peacefully on January 18, 2009, at University Hospital with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Feliks Hondzel Sr. (2001). Loving mother to sons John Hondzel (Grace) and Feliks Hondzel Jr. (Karolina). Mother-in-law of Rose Piccolo for 27 years. Wonderful grandmother of Tina Lirette, Melissa Hondzel, John Hondzel Jr., Stephen Hondzel and Patricia Hondzel. Great-grandmother of Adam, Nicholas, Claire and Mason. Those who knew Irena will remember her as a woman who lived for her family, loved to cook and graced us with a unique sense of humour. She will be missed by everyone; we love you, beautiful! Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. on Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 419 Hill St., on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. Prayers Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Irena’s family wish to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff members of the second floor of Marian Villa for their outstanding and diligent care of Irena during her stay there as a resident.
