Hedwig Heidi Melnyk

Peacefully at Victoria Hospital with her family at her side on Saturday, May 27, 2023 Hedwig “Heidi” Melnyk in her 89th year. Dear wife of the late Ignatz “Pete” Melnyk (1989). Cherished mother of Michael Melnyk (Terry) and Peter Melnyk (Tina). Loving grandmother of Christina, Sarah and Michael. Dearest great - grandmother of six.
Heidi immigrated to Canada from Austria in her early 20's and met her husband Pete in London, ON. There they raised a family in both London and Thorndale.
Heidi worked for almost 30 years as a nurse at the London Psychiatric Hospital.
Heidi will be dearly missed by extended family, friends and neighbours including her dear friends Marlies and Jessica.
Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery, London, ON.
