Peacefully, at Glendale Crossing London, ON., on Tuesday October 7, 2014, Harry Leonard Medcalf in his 86th year. Beloved husband for 35 years of Marilyn (Kenny) Medcalf. Dear father of Joyce Petchey (Phil Storey) of Newbury, England. Loving grandfather of Katie Robbinson (James) of Essex, England. Brother-in-law of James Kenny (Lousie) and Donald Kenny (Dorothy). Also survived by many members of his extended family including several nieces and nephews Predeceased by his first wife Gladys (1974), his parents Harry and Charlotte and his sister Vi. Harry worked for Bata Shoes, including 28 years in Nigeria. He was a member of the Hickory Ridge Golf Club (he loved his golf!) and of the Ebute Metta, Lagos, Nigeria, Mason Lodge. Visitors will be received on Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London, where the Funeral Service will be conducted in the Chapel on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment in Pitsea, Essex, England. Memorial donations to the Village of Glendale Crossing, The Alzheimers Society or St. George's Church building fund.
