George John Nevett

Peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his residence in London. George John Nevett was born on St. Stephen's Day, 26 December 1928 in London, Ontario. George was the loving husband for 55 years of the late Mary Aileen Kenny ( 2009). He was the loved and caring father of Maryellen, Joseph, John (Sandy), Sgt. Patt of Comox, B.C., and Dr. Michael (Karen) of Alabama (Roll Tide!). Beloved and proud grandpa of Chad ( Michelle), Sarah Nevett, Brett R.N., (Mathew) Ridgeway, Kyle and Lane (Cara) and the great-grandfather of Ryan and Kailyn Nevett and Hunter and Rylee Braswell of Alabama. George is fondly remembered by his sister Marie (George) Hill of Ottawa and brother-in-law Harold (Donna) Kenny of Elliot Lake. Pre-deceased by his parents George and Julia, his sister Mary, his brothers William and Hubert, his sister-in-law Eileen, brothers-in-law Wilfred (Helen) and Eddie F. Kenny. Visitors will be received on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., where the Service of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
