Francesco Rizzolo

It is with great sadness that the family of Francesco "Franco" Rizzolo announce his passing on Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 peacefully at University Hospital with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Elvira Rizzolo (nee Grasso) for 58 years. Remembered as a devoted father of Angela DiCicco (Pasquale) and Olindo Rizzolo (Dianne). Dearly loved Nonno of Francine (Eric), John, Erica and Abby and his great- granddaughter Hailey. Left to cherish his memories are his sister Filomena Mattia (nee Rizzolo) of Westfield, Mass., sister-in-law Luigina Mattia (nee Grasso) ( Luigino ) of Italy, Guilio Grasso (Celestina) of the United Kingdom. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, USA, the UK and Italy. Predeceased by his father Olindo Rizzolo Sr. (1987), his mother Nevicella Rizzolo (nee DiTrolio)(2008) and his brother-in-law Taddeo. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael's Church, (511 Cheapside at Maitland) on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
