Fernando de Medeiros Cabral

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved marido, pai, irmão, avô, tio, neighbour and friend on Thursday May 04, 2023 in his 75th year. Fernando peacefully passed away at St. Joseph's Hospice, London Ontario surrounded by his wife and children.  Fernando Cabral, “GRILO”, was born on August 02, 1948 in São Miguel, Açores. His family moved to London, Ontario in 1989. Fernando, with his beloved wife and best friend of 50 years, Gabriela, proudly raised their family together. Fernando was an all around hard working man, both while at work and in the family home.
Fernando was known by many to have a great sense of humour, enjoyed the outdoors and when not working maintained his immaculate grass and vegetable garden. Everyone that knew Fernando was aware that if you did not have a "Blue" he would not visit you. Fernando is the dearly beloved husband of Gabriela Cabral and proud father of Fatima Guy (Bill), Filomena Da Silva (Paul), Paula Aguiar (Fabio), Lina Cabral, Ana Rodriguez (Marvin), Cesar Cabral (Courtney) and Marina Cabral (Juan Ramirez). Cherished avô to Jimmy, Victoria, Nicholas, Monica, Matthew, Breanna, Sofia, Miguel, Mya, Daniel, Scarlett, Layla, and little peanut on the way. Fernando will be deeply missed by his older sister Maria Picaro (Augusto 2021) and younger brother Adolfo (Maria) and all of his nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.  Although Fernando leaves behind many who cherish him deeply, he also leaves behind an impeccable legacy he built. Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London on Sunday, May 7,  2023  from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church,10 Elm St at Hamilton Rd, on Monday, May 8, 2023  at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.  Online condolences & Guest Book at www.oneilfuneralhome.ca
