Farnham Bernard Mills

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard ("Bernie") Mills in his 89th year on February 10, 2021 at London Health Sciences Centre U.H. Campus. He will be missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Cassilda (nee Berthelot). Proud father of Patricia Jahans (Paul), Francine Jones (Brian), Colleen Lamont (Dale), Peter Mills (Rose), and Larry Mills. Cherished grandfather of Jessica Smith (Andrew), Katelyn Jones, Matthew Mills (Mairi), Ashley Jahans, Angela Mills (Adam), and Kayla Jahans (Damion).
Bernie was a London Police Officer from 1957–1987. In 1991, he and Cass moved to Goderich where Bernie was able to enjoy his passion for golfing. Each of his grandchildren share memories about driving Grandpa's golf cart and his fun-loving humour. Bernie and Cass spent many winters in Myrtle Beach, S.C. to escape the cold weather and for Dad to extend his golf season. They also enjoyed numerous trips to the East Coast to visit family and friends while savouring his love for seafood. In 2019, Bernie and Cass moved back to London and resided at Manor Village Retirement Home.
A special thanks to the staff at Manor Village and London Health Sciences Centre for their compassion, care, and support. Cremation has already taken place. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private family service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bernie are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.
