It is with great sadness that the family of Elsie Kameka announce her passing on Saturday, Sept. 28 2024 at the age of 71, at her residence in London, Ontario.
Elsie was born in Seaford Town, Westmoreland, Jamaica, and was preceded by her parents Wilfred Kameks (1988), Violet Kameka (2015) and her sister Rose Marie (1999). Elsie leaves behind her sisters and brothers: Imelda (Tampa, Florida), Norma Casselman (Scott) London, ON, Kay Wright (Jerry), Welland, ON, Fay Wedemire (Ced deceased), Fred Kameka, Delia, Alberta, Louise Wedemire (Walter deceased), Nanticoke, ON, Perry Kameka, London, ON, Deb Obrist (Mark), Bowmanville, ON John Kameka, London, ON.
The family would like to thank the Alice Saddy Association for their loving care and kindness given to Elsie over the past 25 years plus. We would like to mention Sarah, JuliAnn and Lilli especially for their special dedication to Elsie’s well being these last few years. They made sure Elsie was dressed up, made up and well coiffured with plenty of jewelry as Elsie liked to look fancy and queen of the ball. Elsie also had wonderful PSW’s who make her very comfortable and well fed.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Justin’s Church, 855 Jalna Blvd, London on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Private interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
