Suddenly at her residence, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 Doreen Therese (Murphy) Schussler in her 86th year. Beloved wife and best friend of the late William (Pete) Schussler (May 11, 2021) for 52 beautiful and wonderful years. Dear Mother of Debra (Pat) Patton. Loving Nana of Jesse Patton (Shelby). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her parents Ernest (1956) and Hazel (1990) Murphy, her Father-in-law Archie (1975) and her Mother in-law Doris Schussler (1982), her Brothers and Sisters-in-law Gerald Murphy (1997), Betty Murphy (2015), Bill Murphy (1969), Norine Murphy (2019), Brother-in-law Walter Schussler (2022) and Sister-in-law Vivian Schussler (2007). Doreen was born on June 14, 1936 in London, Ontario. Her working career included summer employment at McCormick Biscuit and then later for the Department of National Defense for 22 years in an administrative role and 16 years at Canada Trust. Doreen had the love of travel which took her to many countries around the world. She adored and loved her family deeply, especially her only grandchild, Jesse who would light up her life when she saw him or he called her to catch-up. Doreen was an active member of the Mary Immaculate Parish CWL for 35 years. She will be remembered as gentle, kind, loving person, who radiated warmth and empathy. She loved to send family and friends greeting cards for whatever occasion and if you received one from her you were very special on her mailing list. Doreen also enjoyed a cold glass of white wine with her loved ones. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Mary Immaculate Church,1980 Trafalgar at Admiral, on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.; followed by entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Visitors attending the visitation at the Funeral Home and Funeral Mass at the church are asked to be fully vaccinated and are requested to wear masks.
