Betty Aileen Janisse (nee Loughlin), passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Saturday, May 11th at the age of 97.

Betty was a loving mother to Leonard O’Hara, mother in-law to Richard Taylor, stepmother to Bruce (Mary), Jay,  and Karen Leslie. Predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Leo Janisse (2014), her son David O’Hara (1984), daughter Silvia Taylor (2020), and grandson Dustin O’Hara (2007).

Betty will be fondly remembered by members of the Janisse Family, close friends and neighbours who meant so very much to her and became like family to her.  Greatly missed by Judy Emeny, a steadfast pillar of support who provided unwavering assistance to Betty for the last 18 years.

Betty had extreme gratitude for the various dedicated service providers who attended her home to provide support, compassion and commitment to both Betty’s personal care as well as the maintenance of home where she lived for 75 years.

As a dedicated primary school teacher for 30 years, Betty touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving a mark on her students and colleagues alike.
