Aurelio Furtado

Aurelio peacefully passed away with his family by his side at St. Josephs Hospice, London, on Sunday December 14, 2025. Beloved husband for 64 years of Angelina. Dear father of Terisa Quilliams (Mark), and Debbie Resendes (Robert). Loving grandfather of Stacey, Andrew, Bryan, and Dawson.  Son of the late Dinis Furtado and the late Aurelia Sousa

Aurelio was born in Sao Miguel, Acores, Lomba da Maia, Portugal and grew up in a large family of eleven children. He immigrated to Canada in 1959 when he was 21 years old, he worked hard in construction to support his family.

Family was everything to him. He was caring and very generous man who had a passion for sports and enjoyed watching his favorite teams, Toronto Maple Leaf’s and Toronto Blue Jays and cheering them on. Grandchildren remember grandpa always listening to country music in the car. His favorite radio station was BX93, and favorite singer was Johnny Cash. Aurelio always looked forward in visiting his family and friends in Portugal. He travelled there many times with his family.

Aurelio lived a happy and good life; he is at peace now and in God’s hands.

Visitors will be received on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. 

The Funeral Service will be celebrated in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. London, on Wednesday, 17 December at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Adam Gabriel officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London
