August Gorski

Peacefully, surrounded by the love, support and prayers of his family, August went to be with the Lord, on Friday, January 30, 2015, at McGarrell Home. August Gorski was in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Janina Gorski (1998). Dear father of Wanda Szabo (Stephen) and Ted Gorski (Yvonne). Loving grandfather of Natalie (Shane), Stephen Jr. (Sara), Christopher and Danielle. Great-grandfather of Nathaniel, Micah, Prestyn and Emmett. Predeceased by five brothers and one sister. August was a Corporal in the Polish 2nd Corps of the British Army and fought in Tobruk, Monte Cassino, Ancona and Bologna. He was also a founding member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in London. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., on Monday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, (419 Hill St.) on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
