Ashley Joseph Gaynor

1973 — January 1, 2022

Peacefully, with his family by his side, at University Hospital, London, on Sunday, March 20, 2022, Ashley Joseph James Gaynor in his 49th year. Beloved father of Sean Gaynor of Kitchener. Cherished son of John and the late Patricia Gaynor (1995). Loved brother of Ann-Marie (Steven) Harpur and Allen (Leanne) Gaynor, all of London. Dear uncle of Keira, Nolan and Finn Gaynor. Predeceased by his infant brother David (1969). Fondly remembered by Sean's mom Krista Tompkins of Kitchener. Ashley was born in Thompson, Manitoba and moved to London as a teenager. Ashley worked in many different roles at various restaurants throughout London and made many lifelong friends. His proudest moment was the birth of his son Sean and what a wonderful young man he has become. The family would like to thank the ICU doctors and nurses at University Hospital for their compassion and care; all of the family and friends in Canada and Ireland for all their kindness. Cremation has taken place and a private ceremony will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. A celebration of life will be held in the late spring. Weep not for me though I have gone

Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul's sweet flight

I am at peace, my soul's at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years

There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on

Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life
