Peacefully, after a long and courageous journey, Antonina Maria Da Ponte aged 66 has passed away at L.H.S.C on February 8, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of 46 years to Antonio Da Ponte. Cherished mother of Jason Da Ponte and his wife Ashley Rand Da Ponte, and Derek Da Ponte. Proud grandmother of Nathan, Charlotte, Caitlin, and Nicolas Da Ponte. Dear sister and sister in law of Lenoide Espinola (late Jose), Valentina Melo (Jose), Ondina Picanço (Antonio), Luzia Cunha (Carlos), Carlos Da Ponte (Maria), Gloria Teixeira (Joe), Joe Da Ponte (late Sandy), and Linda Ponte (Mario). Predeceased by her parents Manuel Correia De Melo and Maria De Sousa Veiga and in laws Manuel and Maria Isabel Da Ponte.
Nina will be fondly remembered by her many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends in Canada, the United States, Graciosa and São Miguel Portugal.
