Anne Marie Wasylko

March 13, 1945 — November 21, 2022

London, Ontario

With great sadness Anne Marie – peacefully at home on November 21, 2022, in her 77th year. Daughter of Julian and Czeslawa Makaran, dearest wife of Mykola, loving mother of four children – daughter Lesya (Chesley), sons Andry, Stefan (Jessica) and Myron (Lena). Cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren – Julia, Aaron and Gregory Pedden, Sadie, Carmen and Evan Wasylko, Ayah and Eve Wasylko. Anne Marie was born in the small village of Hebelsfelden, Germany at the end of World War II, as both her parents were forcefully brought to Germany from their Ukrainian and Polish homelands. At war’s end, after a short stay in Belgium, the Makaran family emigrated to Canada in 1952, settling in London, where Anne Marie enjoyed living her entire life with her family always close at hand and with her many friends. She was active most of her life in the Ukrainian Community. Her final four years were difficult and challenging as her health failed her, but she left us knowing she was much loved and will be dearly missed. Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London on Friday, November 25,  2022  from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.  and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with Panakhyda at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Ihor Petryk officiating.  A private family service will be held on Saturday.  Memorial donations may be made to “Aid Ukraine’s War”
