Ann Elizabeth (Betty) Lasek passed away peacefully at Kensington Village on Sunday, October 30, 2022. She was in her 104th year. Betty was predeceased by her husband Frank Lasek, her parents Henry and Julia (Maloney) Brown, and her siblings Monica Breault (Henri), Elsie Brown and Jim Brown(Joan).  She will be missed by her nieces and nephews: Elise Acheson (Tom, d.2018), Rosemary Breault Landry(Ken), Nancy Brown Brunton(Doug), Jim Brown, Greg Brown (Debbie), Patty Worden (Rae) and Mel Delange (Ted). She leaves behind sixteen great nieces and nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews. Betty was a remarkable woman, and she will be missed by family and friends. She was born in Walkerville, Ontario on September 13, 1919. As a young girl she moved to the London South neighbourhood. After high school, she went to work for London Life for more than twenty years. In 1960, she married Frank Lasek, and retired from her career to devote herself to Frank and her home. Betty loved to bake, cook, sew, knit, crochet and garden. She was very creative,  and liked to paint  and do woodworking.  She kept up on current affairs, and had a volunteer career spanning 70 years, retiring from her last volunteer position at Parkwood Hospital at age 90. The family would like to thank the staff of Kensington Village for their care and kindness over the past six years.  A graveside service will be held on Friday November 4th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Cemetery, London, Ontario.
