It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Albano Correia, announces his passing on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Victoria Hospital, London, ON at the age of 86, surrounded by his family. Cherished father of Aida Pontes (Joe), Emanuel Correia (Wanda) and Luis Correia (Janice). Loving Grandfather of Michael, Jenny, Stacey, Samantha, Tyler , Brittany and Julia. Great-Grandfatherof Emily, Makyla, Noah and Emma. Survived by his sisters Palmira Da Fatima Pereira Da Silva (Manuel), and Dalia Pereira Sousa (predeceased husband Tony), sister-in-law Maria Fernanda and Gabriella Oliviera. Predeceased by his parents Jose De Medeiros Correia and Hortencia Da Luz Pereira Correia; and siblings Manuel Pereira Correia, Guilhermina Pereira Correia Da Costa, Didia Pereira Correia Faria, Alcidia Pereira Correia Pontes, Maria Jose Pereira Correia. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Albano was born in Ribiera Grand, Sao Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal. He immigrated to Canada in 1968 with his wife Maria and their three children making London, Ontario their home. Retired for more than 20 years from Accuride Canada, Albano was always quick to lend a hand, never turning down a request for help. He cherished the simple life with family, cooking Portuguese recipes, making homemade wine, tips on maintaining beautiful gardens and sharing stories of Portugal. Albano's love for his home country (Portugal) and family remained strong. His kind-hearted spirit will be truly missed by all hisfriends and family.
